Sample Shaw Sentences:

The first example using the Shaw Alphabet is the standard English test sentence,

“The quick brown fox jumped over a lazy dog”.

This first example uses all the letters of the Roman Alphabet, but less than half of all the Shaw letters.

The dots, dashes, arrows and spirals represent Tertiary vowels. They are just placeholders or markers for the less significant vowel sounds. They do not have a matching Roman alphabet letter.

The second example tries to use some of the additional Shaw letters that are not used in the first example.

The second example is “ A thin young beige wolf ate four rats. Afterwards she had three chicken eggs for desert ”. Note that numbers in the samples are given directly as digits, not written out.

These two example sentences above use all the Shaw Consonant Letters, with the exception of the two alternate consonants.  Tet and Koof,  Which are only used for synonyms and cognates.  It also shows some of the Primary and Secondary Shaw Vowel letters, and an assortment of Shaw Vowel Markers.
